Making "Mine Conscious" - Video
This is a timelapse of the binding process of my Grandfather's WW2 Memoir, Mine Conscious, by 1st Lt. Joe Youorski. 9th Infantry Division, Mine Platoon, USA. WWII. The title is derived from his duty in the mine platoon of the famous 9th Infantry Division, a.k.a. “Old Reliables”. Soldiers were being careless around a new encampment when someone saw a piece of metal in a tire rut. Brushing away the dirt exposed an armed teller mine. Upon disarming it he said mine consciousness had returned.
